The pilot facility will process bulk material sourced from the Jupiter site. Through a magnetic separation and flotation flowsheet, the operation is expected to generate rare earth concentrate. This concentrate will be used in upcoming downstream testwork programs and feed into a comprehensive Scoping Study. The effort reflects Critica’s focus on refining its resource through efficiency, ensuring that material is upgraded before further hydrometallurgy assessments.

Streamlining Production Goals

A key part of the strategy involves targeting a leach plant design that minimises reagent requirements while enhancing operational efficiency. By advancing pilot testing at this stage, Critica aims to establish a clearer understanding of optimal chemistry and process conditions. This data will serve as the backbone for future development and potential commercial production.

Collaborative Efforts for Development

Alongside GAVAQ’s role, additional programs are running in parallel. Specialist institutions are conducting hydrometallurgy studies to benchmark processing routes and determine the most effective way forward. This multi-faceted approach ensures Critica is not reliant on a single pathway, instead harnessing expertise to strengthen its long-term development plan.
