Perpetual Resources Limited (ASX:PEC): At its premier asset in Western Australia, silica sands explorer Perpetual Resources Limited (ASX:PEC) has finished reconnaissance shallow auger drilling.
The drilling, which took place from July 25 to 27, was focused on Beharra North, the northernmost portion of the Beharra exploration tenement.
Meanwhile, Shares of Perpetual Resources closed trading at AU$0.045 each, up 2.27% on ASX today.
Peregrine Gold Limited (ASX:PGD): At the Peninsula Prospect, a quartz-ironstone breccia vein was discovered in the drill core, according to a gold miner's announcement made today. The prospect lies about 30 kilometers west of Newman, Western Australia.
Meanwhile, Shares of Peregrine closed trading at AU$0.74 each, up 75% on ASX today.

In global markets
Wall Street's major indices ended mixed on Thursday as an increase in unemployment benefit claims suggested a slowdown in labor markets.
Oil prices have fallen to their lowest point since the beginning of the Russia-Ukraine war in February as a result of worries about the future of the world economy.
The S&P 500 fell 0.08% to 4,151.94. The Dow Jones was down 0.26% to 32,726.82. The NASDAQ Composite added 0.41% to 12,720.58, and the small-cap Russell 2000 fell 0.13% to 1,906.46.
According to Cleveland Fed President Loretta Mester, the Federal Reserve must continue its restrictive monetary policy for a number of months in order to lower inflation below its goal level of 2%. Notably, the rate-setting committee includes Loretta Mester as a voting member.
In Commodities markets
Crude Oil WTI was spotted trading at US$89.275/bbl while Brent Oil was at US$94.66/bbl at 4.11 PM AEST.
Gold was at US$1791.75 an ounce, copper was at US$3.537/Lbs and iron ore was at US$112/T at 4.12 PM AEST.
