  • Targeting Gold Systems: The drilling program will focus on an Intrusive Related Gold System (IRGS), with mobilization planned for the immediate future.

  • Government Support: The exploration initiative is co-funded by the Western Australian Government's Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS), enhancing the project's financial backing.

Artemis Resources Ltd (ASX:ARV) has successfully secured approvals to initiate drilling at the Lulu Creek prospect, located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Executive Director George Ventouras highlighted the significance of this development during a recent discussion with Proactive’s Tylah Tully. The upcoming drilling will target an Intrusive Related Gold System (IRGS), and mobilization is expected to commence shortly.

The approval follows comprehensive heritage and ethnographic surveys conducted in collaboration with the Ngarluma Aboriginal Corporation, emphasizing the commitment to responsible exploration practices. Previous shallow reverse circulation (RC) drilling at Lulu Creek in 2020 had already identified promising gold zones, with notable highlights including results of 1 meter at 4.89 g/t gold and 13.7 g/t silver from a depth of 24 meters.

In 2023, further exploration efforts uncovered two chargeability anomalies that align with these previously identified gold zones, presenting encouraging targets for the forthcoming drilling activities. This renewed focus on Lulu Creek aims to build upon the successful results achieved in prior drilling campaigns.

The drilling program is co-funded by the Western Australian Government's Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS), which provides additional support for exploration initiatives in the region. Lulu Creek is strategically located approximately 20 kilometers from Artemis's Carlow Castle deposit, highlighting its potential significance within the company’s broader exploration strategy.

Ventouras expressed enthusiasm regarding the commencement of drilling and acknowledged the valuable support received from the Ngarluma Aboriginal Corporation, reinforcing the importance of collaboration in resource exploration. This next phase aims to enhance Artemis Resources’ understanding of the Lulu Creek prospect and its potential for gold production.
