Artemis Resources (ASX:ARV) has announced promising results from rock chip sampling at the Thorpe Prospect within the Karratha Gold Project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The company reported standout grades of 45.8 g/t gold and 10.3% copper, indicating significant mineral potential. The findings are part of Artemis Resources’ ongoing exploration efforts to expand the gold footprint across the Carlow tenement while refining targets for future drilling.
The Thorpe Prospect features a three-metre-wide quartz-iron oxide vein that has already demonstrated remarkable mineralization, returning 45.8 g/t gold and 3.7% copper. These results highlight the potential of the prospect as part of the broader Karratha Gold Project, where numerous veins at the surface continue to yield high-grade gold, copper, and silver.
Artemis Resources’ executive director, George Ventouras, shared that the company remains focused on identifying the source of widespread gold seen at the surface. The findings at Thorpe Prospect align with results from other areas of the Carlow tenement, such as the Titan prospect, and reinforce the project’s potential for further resource expansion.
The rock chip sampling program at Thorpe Prospect has produced several high-grade results, including 45.8 g/t gold, 3.7% copper, and 38.6 g/t silver; 12 g/t gold, 1.1% copper, and 3.7 g/t silver; and 10.3% copper, 0.4 g/t gold, and 69.4 g/t silver. These findings contribute to a growing dataset that supports the exploration team’s efforts to map and analyze the mineralized veins across the Carlow tenement.
In addition to the discoveries at Thorpe, the company is preparing for drilling campaigns in early 2025 to further evaluate key targets. These campaigns are subject to heritage clearance and regulatory approvals, which Artemis Resources is actively pursuing. The planned drilling will focus on defining the mineralization at depth and extending the known mineralized zones.
The Karratha Gold Project continues to show substantial promise, with the Carlow tenement emerging as a critical area of focus. Artemis Resources aims to advance its exploration strategy to uncover further high-grade deposits and unlock the region’s full resource potential.
