Highlights

  • Rock chip sampling returns up to 25 g/t gold
  • Strong silver grades and pathfinder indicators detected
  • Exploration momentum builds at Pluton during wet season

Ark Mines (ASX:AHK) has reported encouraging assay results from its recent wet season sampling program at the Pluton Gold Project in North Queensland, showcasing the project's mineral potential. The rock chip sampling campaign revealed high-grade gold and silver intercepts, with the highest results recorded at 25 grams per tonne (g/t) for gold and 34 g/t for silver. The average values were also notable, standing at 3.4 g/t for gold and 7.1 g/t for silver. These figures mark a significant improvement over historic assays from 2005 and point toward promising upside in further exploration.

The company also identified robust pathfinder element correlations during its analysis, enhancing confidence in the project's structural continuity and potential resource extensions. These correlations provide crucial guidance for future drill targeting and could accelerate the pace of geological mapping and on-ground assessments. The prospective lithologies observed in the area align with regional mineralisation trends, further solidifying Pluton’s role as a strategic project in Ark Mines’ portfolio.

The Pluton Gold Project is gaining renewed attention, even as the company advances its flagship Sandy Mitchell Rare Earths Project. Executive Director Ben Emery acknowledged Pluton’s promising results, describing them as an appealing development during the wet season. He noted that while Pluton is not Ark’s primary focus, the new data cannot be overlooked and supports ongoing fieldwork during off-peak periods for other projects.

The strong gold and silver assay outcomes from Pluton position Ark Mines (ASX:AHK) among emerging explorers generating interest amid broader market conversations, including those centred on ASX dividend stocks and the performance of ASX200 resource players. As investor interest in high-grade exploration stories continues to grow, the positive sampling campaign at Pluton adds weight to Ark’s exploration narrative in Australia’s mineral-rich north.

With further work anticipated and multiple exploration fronts progressing, Ark Mines appears to be cultivating a diversified resource development pipeline. As activity across the mining sector heats up within the ASX 200 landscape, Pluton's recent sampling success may play a key role in shaping the company’s longer-term strategic direction.
