Highlights

  • Aldoro Resources prepares for its first 2,000-metre drilling program in Namibia.
  • Infrastructure and equipment, including diamond rigs, are fully ready for operation.
  • Local community engagement enhances support for drilling activities.

Aldoro Resources (ASX:ARN) is making significant progress towards its first-ever 2,000-metre diamond drilling program at the Kameelburg Rare Earth Elements (REE) and Niobium Project in Namibia. Preparations are on track, with operations expected to commence within the next two weeks.

The project has received its two specialized diamond drill rigs, the Nock 300 and Nock 600, equipped with crawler mobility to navigate the terrain. Alongside these rigs, the necessary drill rods and consumables have also arrived on-site. The drilling team has successfully commissioned the rigs, and track construction to the drill pads is nearing completion, with about 70% of the work already done.

Robust Infrastructure in Place

Water infrastructure for the project is fully operational. Aldoro Resources (ASX:ARN) has completed water bores, storage tanks, high-pressure pipelines, and solar-powered pumping installations. These developments not only support the drilling activities but also benefit the local community by improving access to water for livestock and farming operations.

This infrastructure ensures that the project has sufficient water to sustain the planned 2,000 metres of drilling and provides flexibility for potential expansion, depending on the results of this initial phase.

Community Collaboration

Community engagement has been a critical aspect of the Kameelburg project. Aldoro Resources has secured community approvals to operate the drilling program on a 24-hour basis. Local residents have also been employed to assist with various stages of the operation, fostering strong community relations.

Additionally, the company has enhanced its geological team with three new geologists who will support core logging and data review processes. A pre-drill trenching program, which aims to fine-tune drill hole locations, is almost complete. This data will be cross-referenced with assays from rock chip sampling programs to finalize the drilling strategy.

Aldoro Resources is well-positioned to begin its maiden drilling operation at Kameelburg, with all preparations aligning efficiently. This milestone represents a pivotal step forward for the project and underscores the company’s commitment to exploration success in Namibia.
