Highlights

  • SPONTAN® now available nationwide through 600+ pharmacies.
  • New packaging and systems support telehealth and prescription ease.
  • Real-time data collection paves way for future US launch.

LTR Pharma Limited (ASX:LTP) has taken a significant step forward by expanding access to its innovative medication, SPONTAN®, across Australia. Thanks to a partnership with a major pharmacy network, SPONTAN® is now accessible in over six hundred TerryWhite Chemmart pharmacies nationwide. This broad availability marks a strategic milestone for LTR Pharma, improving patient convenience and aligning with its goal to enhance healthcare delivery.

The company introduced specially designed barcoded commercial packaging for SPONTAN®, enabling pharmacies to seamlessly integrate the product into their systems. This packaging innovation not only supports the physical dispensing process but also lays the foundation for telehealth pathways in the future. Patients holding prescriptions from authorized healthcare professionals can have SPONTAN® dispensed under the Therapeutic Goods Administration’s (TGA) Special Access Scheme (SAS) and Authorised Prescriber Scheme (APS) at TerryWhite Chemmart, Pharmacy Choice, or healthSAVE locations.

Since entering into a distribution agreement in January 2025, LTR Pharma has taken extensive measures to ensure smooth operational rollout. This includes integrating inventory management systems compatible with the partner network, implementing TGA-compliant tracking protocols, and completing pharmacist training programs. Furthermore, the company is preparing to educate pharmacists at a Masterclass event scheduled for June 2025, ensuring proper handling and dispensing of SPONTAN®.

One of the strategic advantages of this nationwide rollout is the ability to collect real-world data on how SPONTAN® is used across diverse settings. These insights are invaluable for regulatory compliance and support the company’s regulatory strategy as it prepares for SPONTAN®’s full commercial launch in Australia. Looking ahead, LTR Pharma is also focused on its upcoming US launch of ROXUS planned for 2026, leveraging the Australian experience as a foundation.

This expansion reflects positively on LTR Pharma’s place within the ASX200 index, indicating its growing influence in the Australian healthcare sector. For investors exploring ASX dividend stocks, developments like these highlight the ongoing progress of companies innovating within critical sectors.

LTR Pharma’s enhanced access to SPONTAN® via a nationwide pharmacy network represents a crucial advancement in patient care accessibility and regulatory preparedness. With ongoing educational efforts and robust operational integration, the company is well-positioned to capitalize on market opportunities both domestically and internationally.
