  • The High-grade and continuous nature of mineralisation is highlighted through the latest drilling results at the Chinook prospect.
  • Further high-grade zinc-lead results delivered from the Kalitan high-grade feeder zone with the following intercepts:
  • 13m @ 6.94% Zn + Pb (6.27% Zn, 0.67% Pb), 3.00 g/t Ag from 137m.
  • ZNC has highlighted several areas of focus for the current drilling campaign at the EJV.

Gold and base metals-focused, Zenith Minerals Limited (ASX:ZNC), has announced high-grade results from its ongoing drilling program at the Earaheedy Zinc Project. The results suggest thick, high-grade zinc-lead mineralisation at the Kalitan Zone and high-grade and continuous nature of mineralisation at the Chinook deposit.

The Earaheedy Joint Venture (EJV) comprises 2 main prospects, Chinook and Magazine, 12 km from each other and are now joined by mineralisation at Tonka, Navajoh and in a Feeder Fault beneath Chinook mineralisation.

High-grade results at Chinook prospect

ZNC has received results from RC drilling at the New Chinook Zn-Pb-Ag-Cu prospect within the Earaheedy Joint Venture project. ZNC owns a 25% free carried interest in the project located in Western Australia.

The latest drilling results suggest the high-grade and continuous nature of mineralisation at the prospect. Assay results for more than 40% of the 50,000m Earaheedy drill program are still outstanding, which comprise 3 new holes into the Kalitan high-grade feeder structure.

Infill and Extensional drilling at Chinook prospect

The strong continuity of Zn-Pb mineralisation within the large 4.1 km x 1.9 km mineralised footprint of Chinook was highlighted by several new >2% Zn + Pb drill results through infill and extensional drilling at the Chinook prospect.

Significant recent drill hole intersections include the following:

  • 17m @ 4.88% Zn + Pb, 3.33 g/t Ag from 72m (EHRC231, including 9m @ 6.22 % Zn + Pb (5.55% Zn, 0.67% Pb) from 75m
  • 17m @ 4.18% Zn + Pb, 5.12 g/t Ag from 110m (EHRC211)
  • 7m @ 4.04% Zn + Pb, 6.17 g/t Ag from 141m (EHRC347)
  • 17m @ 3.71% Zn + Pb, 4.21 g/t Ag from 122m (EHRC216)
  • 17m @ 3.59% Zn + Pb, 2.06 g/t Ag from 68m (EHRC298)
  • 20m @ 3.63% Zn + Pb, 2.82 g/t Ag from 63m (EHRC300)
  • 29m @ 2.48% Zn + Pb, 3.58 g/t Ag from 122m (EHRC192B)

High-grade zinc-lead mineralisation at Kalitan Zone

Besides this, the latest results from the Kalitan high-grade feeder zone delivered high-grade zinc- lead results, including results from drill hole EHRC360 which delivered 13m @ 6.94% Zn + Pb (6.27% Zn, 0.67% Pb), 3.00 g/t Ag from 137m, including 6m @ 10.51% Zn + Pb, 2.37 g/t Ag from 141m.

EGRC360 hole is located 300m northwest along the strike of EHRC370 and 540m to the southeast of EHRC136. Both EHRC370 and EHRC136 have delivered significant intersections through the previous drilling program.
