Guyana-based gold explorer and producer Troy Resources Limited (ASX:TRY) has announced the appointment of Mr Richard Beazley for the role of the interim CEO and Managing Director. Mr Beazley is a mining engineer with extensive experience in the industry. He is currently serving as a Non-Executive Director of Troy.
The untimely demise of Mr Ken Nilsson had created a vacancy at the top position. Mr Nilsson failed to recover from a medical procedure and passed away Tuesday, 21 September 2021.
Mr Nilsson has been associated with Troy since 1997. With over 35 years of experience in the mining industry, Mr Nilsson was responsible for operations at the Karouni Project. He initially joined the Company as an MD, later stepped down and was re-appointed MD again in 2017.

Mr Peter Stern, Non-Executive Chairman of Troy Resources, said that the Company was grateful to Mr Beazley, who had agreed to take up the interim position during difficult circumstances.
TRY also informed that the contract arrangement for the interim CEO and Managing Director would be announced later.
Announcement of AGM Date
Troy Resources announced the date of the Company’s Annual General Meeting or AGM, scheduled for 15 November 2021. The re-election of the Directors will be one of the items of business at the AGM.
Shares of TRY have been placed in a trading halt since 27 August 2021 pertaining to an important announcement.
