A Snapshot of the 1,000m Drilling Campaign

The proposed 1,000m diamond drilling program will target Razafy Northwest, a high priority target identified by trenching work completed in Q1 2019. The drilling program aims to increase the existing total JORC resource of 20.2Mt at 6.51% by the September quarter this year.

Orezone Drilling Madagascar SARL, boasting a global footprint in mining exploration activities, has been commissioned by BlackEarth to undertake the drilling campaign. Orezone, specialising in both underground and surface operations, has conducted all earlier drilling activities at the project for BlackEarth.

Management Comment

BlackEarth Managing Director Tom Revy stated that the Company is excited to be back drilling at the Maniry Project next week. The drilling program is targeting the high-grade Razafy Northwest area and aims to expand on the existing Maniry JORC Resource while further improving the Company’s geological understanding of the project.

Mr Revy indicated that the priority drilling program is expected to run for approximately six weeks. Furthermore, the targeted program clearly aims towards:

  • Identifying high-grade zones capable of further enhancing the NPV/IRR of the project.
  • Increasing the overall mineral resource inventory of the Company.
  • Gaining further technical insight into the current Razafy Domain, currently extending beyond 5km.

BEM traded at AU$0.130 on 5 May 2021.
