Sky and Space Global Limited (ASX:SAS) has signed a Reseller Memorandum of Understanding with Global Telesat SL and a Trial Service Agreement with Telespazio Brasil S/A. The Reseller MoU with Global Telesat SL is evidence of SAS growing its reputation in both the international resellers network and the satellite communication market. The Trial Service Agreement demonstrates the commitment of SAS and Telespazio Brasil to support advance communication services within the equatorial regions.Â
Under the terms of the Reseller MoU, SAS and Global Telesat will work closely to explore how the SAS nano-satellite connectivity can be incorporated into Global Telesatâs network and utilized to improve Global Telesatâs offering. The Trial Service Agreement further strengthens SASâs commitment to support companies like Telespazio Brasil in providing advanced communication services and more accessible connections within the equatorial regions.
Sky and Space Global remains the only Australian listed Nano-satellite space company and therefore provides a unique investment opportunity for shareholders. The year 2017 witnessed the company launching its first three nanosatellites the â3 Diamondsâ into space. SAS is now planning to launch a constellation of another 200 nanosatellites by the year 2020. In March 2018, SAS raised $10 million in an oversubscribed placement and completed a fully underwritten SPP of $5million and at 0.12 per share. The Corporate Advisory Pty Limited and Chieftain Securities Ltd jointly handled the Capital Raising for the company. In June 2018, the Company had cash at bank of approximately $8.9m. Research indicates that the global narrowband communication market is set to increase over the coming years and SAS is well positioned to commercialize the expected increase in demand.
A MoU was signed between the Chinese launch services provider, China Great Wall Industry Corporation and SAS to discover provision of Nano-satellite launch services to the company. The company converted 5,500,000 vested performance rights to shares on 20th of July 2018.
Global Telesat is a global communications company based in Spain that specializes in satellite IP services and electronic security worldwide but principally across Africa, where they have a 10-year presence. Global Telesat is the official distributor for Ka-band connectivity in Angola, providing turnkey telecoms solutions, broadband and broadcasting YahClick services on the satellite Yahsat. The company has a wide range of understanding of IP Connectivity (VSAT, VOIP, etc.), Satellite Connection, and such.
Telespazio Brasil was founded in 1997 and is based in Rio de Janeiro, operating as a subsidiary of Telespazio Spa. The company offers resolutions in various areas like multimedia, satellite telecommunications, images and applications for earth observations and such. In the Earth observation sector, predominantly, Telespazio markets the products of the COSMO-SkyMed radar satellite constellation on behalf of e-GEOS (Telespazio/ASI company), particularly for observing the Amazon Forest and for agriculture, defense and security and oil & gas protection applications.
The shares of SAS closed the dayâs session at A$0.055, up by 1.852% or 0.001 points as compared to the previous close of A$0.054.
