 Market Update: Understanding the Performance of Markets on 25th June 2020

The equity market of Australia ended in red on 25th June 2020, and the benchmark index S&P/ASX200 witnessed a sharp decline of 148 points or 2.48% to 5817.7. S&P/ASX 200 Industrials (Sector) stood at 5,693.4, reflecting a fall of 117.1 points. S&P/ASX 200 Materials (Sector) moved down by 379.8 to 13,046.6. At the end of same session, All Ordinaries went down by 2.53% to 5928.

On ASX, the share price of PolyNovo Limited (ASX: PNV) gained 4.065% on an intraday basis and ended the session at $2.560 per share. The stock of BWP Trust (ASX: BWP) rose by 2.551% to $4.020 per share.

S&P/NZX50 closed the trading session at 11,124, indicating a fall of 1.24%. The stock of Blackwell Global Holdings Limited (NZX: BGI) soared by 6.25% to NZ$0.017 per share. The share price of Pacific Edge Limited (NZX: PEB) increased by 5.77% to NZ$0.275 per share. On the other hand, the stock of SeaDragon Limited (NZX: SEA) plunged by 20.00% to NZ$0.032 per share.

PolyNovo Limited Rose 4.065% on the Australian Securities Exchange.

PolyNovo Limited (ASX:PNV) recently announced that Mr David McQuillan has made a change to the holdings in the company on 27th May 2020 by disposing 441,687 fully paid ordinary shares. In the month of March 2020, the company experienced record sales in the US. In another update, the company announced that it has secured a debt finance facility of $9.3 million with National Australia Bank.

Brickworks Limited’s Response to Media Article

Brickworks Limited (ASX:BKW) has recently responded to an article published in “Financial Review” newspaper regarding Amazon and its local expansion plans. The company sated that it is in advanced discussions with a customer for a warehouse development at Oakdale West through its 50/50 joint venture with Goodman Group. However, there is no guarantee that the transaction will happen.

In another update, it was mentioned that BKW and its subsidiaries have made a change to their substantial holdings in the Novonix Limited on 2nd June 2020. The current voting power is 11.49% as compared to the previous voting power of 13.89%.

CSL Limited Ended in Green on 25th June 2020.

CSL Limited (ASX:CSL) recently announced that it has agreed to acquire exclusive global license rights from uniQure to commercialise an adeno-associated virus gene therapy program, AMT-061, for the treatment of haemophilia B. As per the terms of agreement, CSL would have the exclusive global right to commercialise AMT-061 and uniQure would be receiving an upfront cash payment of US$450 million followed by regulatory as well as commercial sales milestone payments and royalties.
