ASX 200 continued yesterday's gaining trend and added 28.70 points before settling at 6715.30 points, up by 0.43 per cent on 14 January 2021.
On 13 January 2021, Nasdaq Composite went up by 0.43 per cent, and S&P 500 surged by 0.23 per cent, while the Dow Industrials ended in the red zone, down by 0.03 per cent.
The commodity section today at AEDT 4:49 PM, crude oil and gold were trading flat in the green zone at USD 52.95 a barrel and USD 1845.05 respectively.
At the same time, the currency section also witnessed the Australian dollar and digital currency bitcoin trading in the green zone. On one side bitcoin jumped by 13.63 per cent while trading at AUD 48,774.5, the Australian dollar was once again trading flat at AUD 0.7756.
The top performers of today's trading session are:
- Pro Medicus Limited (ASX:PME) closed today's trading at AUD 36.530, up by 14.982 per cent.
PME soared high after the announcement that its US subsidiary company has inked a 7-year, AUD 40M contract with Intermountain Healthcare.
- Afterpay Limited (ASX:APT) closed today's trading at AUD 121.000, increased by 9.740 per cent.
The ASX stocks that dived the most today are:
- Adbri Limited (ASX:ABC) was down by 4.908 per cent while settling today's trading at AUD 3.100.
- Abacus Property Group (ASX:ABP) remained the second top loser of the day. It closed today's trading at AUD 2.770, down by 1.60 per cent.
