The Australian stock market closed for the week gaining 0.82% per cent on 06 November 2020. The benchmark index S&P/ASX200 finished at 6,190.20 points and gained 50.60 points today.

On 05 November 2020, Wall Street had a cheerful trading session with all the major indices ending in the positive territory. The Nasdaq Composite surged by 2.59 per cent, Dow Industrials was up by 1.95 per cent, and S&P 500 inched upward by 1.95 per cent.

The stocks that surged the maximum during Friday (06 November 2020) are:  

  • Tabcorp Holdings Limited (ASX:TAH) gained the most point today. It closed at AUD 4.100 and was up by 15.819 per cent.
  • News Corporation (ASX:NWS) was at the second-top position. It closed at AUD 21.630 and was up by 13.662 per cent. 

Other stocks that gained the most in today’s session were Treasury Wine Estates Limited (ASX:TWE), Resolute Mining Limited (ASX:RSG) and Ramelius Resources Limited (ASX:RMS).

The stocks that dipped the most during Thursday (05 November 2020) trading session are:  

  •  Nine Entertainment Co. Holdings Limited (ASX:NEC)closed at AUD 2.290 and dipped by 2.967 per cent. 
  • CSR Limited (ASX:CSR) closed at AUD 4.590 and declined by 2.960 per cent.

Other stocks that declined the most in today’s session were Afterpay Limited (ASX:APT), Cromwell Property Group (ASX:CMW) and GWA Group Ltd (ASX:GWA).
