To retailers rejoice and Melbourne shoppers’ delight, a few shopping areas will be opened up after more than two months of shut down. While shoppers are expected to flood the stores after these many days of just online shopping capacity, only a limited number of people will be allowed in these stores.
On top of this, face masks and social distancing will be compulsory.
Among stores that will be reopening, are Kmart, set to open tonight, with five large-scale stores in Melbourne to operate for 24 hours from midnight. Other retailers who will be reopening by tomorrow feature Spotlight, JB Hi Fi, Myer, David Jones, Bunnings, Big W and Target.
