On 28 October 2020, Coles Group Limited (ASX:COL) updated the market with its first quarter sales results. The quick highlights are-

  • Group sales revenue of Coles during the period rose by 10.5% to A$9.6 billion.
  • The Company’s supermarkets comparable sales growth was 9.7%, and online sales growth was 57%.
  • Coles stated that its liquor comparable sales growth during the period was 17.8% and online sales growth was 80%.
  • Coles Group had entered into a ten-year agreement with CleanCo to source over 90% of electricity needs of Queensland from renewable sources from July 2022.

On 3 November 2020, the share price of COL was noted at A$18.275 up by 1.134% at AEDT 1:23 PM.
