ASX Up 1.18 Per Cent, Chasing Wall St Gridlock Rally

After a cheerful Wall Street trading session yesterday, ASX is also gaining in Thursday's trading. The benchmark index S&P/ASX200, at AEDT 12:43 PM, was up by 1.18 per cent as it gained 71.50 points and was at 6133.60 points.

Investors are reflecting positive sentiments amid the chances of Democrats and Republicans splitting control of the US policy. Joe Biden is convinced of a Blue victory, which means a possible policy gridlock on Democratic tax, energy, and tech reform.

On 4 November 2020, the Nasdaq Composite was up by 3.85 per cent, Dow Industrials surged by 1.34 per cent, and S&P 500 climbed by 2.21 per cent.
