The final plates of the famous cheese toast shall be served at the nine remaining outlets of food chain Sizzler in Australia. It seems, the restaurant couldn’t keep up with the eating trends of COVID-19 hit era.
Sizzler was famous for its all-you-can-eat buffet featuring pastas, soups, nachos, fruits and a wide assortment of salads along with steaks and chicken delicacies.
The ‘eat out with family and friends’ sort of a restaurant, most popular for its ‘cheesy’ advertisements, happened to be a stalwart - without any competition – across the country but due to the Covid-19 Sizzler had to take this decision.
Sizzler began operations in the US in late 1950s and opened up its first restaurant in Australia in 1985.
Currently, the remaining outlets are across Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia.
The 35-year-old fooding era will be closing down on 15 November.
