Highlights
- Viking Mines recorded tungsten assays of up to 14.7% WO₃ from field sampling at its Linka Project in Nevada.
- Channel sampling at Linka confirmed multiple mineralised zones, including 5 metres at 0.7% WO₃ and 4.4 metres at 0.6% WO₃.
- Grab samples from the Long and Alpine projects returned grades of up to 0.8% WO₃, consistent with historical production data.
- A total of 64 samples were collected across four projects, providing new geological data to support drill planning.
Viking Mines Ltd (ASX:VKA) has released ‘exceptional’ assay results from a due diligence field sampling program across its Nevada tungsten portfolio, delivering high-grade tungsten assays and confirming historical production records. The sampling campaign covered the Linka, Long and Alpine projects.
High-Grade Results at the Linka Project
The Linka Project was the primary focus of the field program, with sampling conducted at the Conquest Pit, Hillside Shaft and along the Linka Pit ramp. Face chip sampling at the Conquest Pit returned assays of up to 14.7% WO₃, alongside additional results including 5.2% WO₃. Channel sampling from a separate mineralised zones delivered intervals of 2 metres at 0.5% WO₃ and 2.5 metres at 0.5% WO₃, providing representative grades comparable to those recorded during historical mining.

At the Hillside Shaft, a 4.4-metre channel sample across a tactite zone returned 0.6% WO₃. This mineralised zone is positioned above existing shaft access and in combination with previously reported metallurgical sample, it confirms a high-grade target.

Sampling along the Linka Pit ramp identified a previously unmined, subvertical zone. A 15-metre channel sample intersected 5 metres at 0.7% WO₃, highlighting a surface mining opportunity. Elevated pathfinder elements, including silver, molybdenum and bismuth, were also recorded and will be incorporated into future targeting strategies.

VKA shares were trading at AUD 0.013 per share at the time of writing on 4 February 2026.
