Highlights
- Tempest Minerals has identified a 2km REE anomaly at the Outlaw Target of its Meleya project.
- The company has received geochemistry results indicating up to 929 ppm cerium (Ce) and 457 ppm lanthanum (La) in soil assays.
- There lies anomalous Ni rich geology between the Outlaw and Remorse targets that has been interpreted as a stratiform nickel enrichment.
Tempest Minerals Limited (ASX: TEM) today revealed geochemistry results from surface sampling completed in the fourth quarter last year (Q4 2022) over Meleya Project’s eastern part forming a two-kilometre strike Rare Earth Element (REE) anomaly.
To date, results form a coherent Ce-La zone with values of up to 929 ppm cerium (Ce) and 457 ppm lanthanum (La). This Ce-La zonation seems to be developing stronger on the borders of the area which has been sampled. This rare earth anomaly adjoins the recently announced copper zinc ‘Remorse’ anomaly.
This result brings to fore the imposing potential for various mineralisation systems (precious, base and critical metals) within the Tempest portfolio, says the company. Notably, the region has witnessed no or very little exploration in the past.
The ASX-listed company is outlining and employing multiple campaigns in order to advance these targets.
Shares gain over 5%
TEM shares were trading at AU$0.020 in the early hours of 19 April 2023, up more than 5% from the last close.
