Highlights
- Resolution Minerals has launched a district-scale stream sediment sampling campaign across 59km² at the Horse Heaven Project.
- The program aims to identify new antimony, tungsten, gold, and silver targets using modern geochemical techniques.
- Sediment sampling program results will guide future geophysical work, soil grids and drill targeting techniques.
- Horse Heaven lies adjacent to Perpetua’s Stibnite Project, backed by major U.S. government funding.
- The company views Horse Heaven as a potential strategic asset amid U.S. reliance on antimony imports.
Resolution Minerals Limited (ASX:RML) (OTCQB:RLMLF) has commenced a large-scale, systematic stream sediment sampling program at its Horse Heaven Antimony-Gold-Silver-Tungsten Project in the USA. This marks the first modern, district-scale geochemical initiative conducted on the project.
District-Scale Exploration Program Details
The sampling campaign will cover an area of 59km² and approximately 44 kilometres of stream length with nearly 100 stream sediment samples to be collected. The campaign will target multiple catchments draining prospective structures beyond the known mineralised zones of Antimony Ridge and Golden Gate.
Utilising modern analytical methods, the program aims to identify pathfinder element halos associated with tungsten, silver, antimony and gold mineralisation.
Strategic Location Near Stibnite Gold Project
Horse Heaven is located adjacent to Perpetua Resources Inc.’s Stibnite Gold Project, which holds a reserve of 4.8 million ounces of gold along with significant antimony and tungsten resources.
The sampling program will be undertaken on streams flowing off the doming created by an interpreted buried intrusion between the Stibnite and Horse Heaven projects — an area that has not been systematically explored.
Perpetua has used similar sediment sampling to guide exploration at Stibnite, which is now backed by a USD 2 billion U.S. Government loan and a USD 425 million capital raise to advance development.
Program Objectives
The program is designed to locate new mineralised targets within and around the interpreted intrusion located between the Stibnite and Horse Heaven projects. The broader aim of the initiative is to validate the Intrusion Related Gold System (IRGS) Exploration Model at Horse Heaven. This would, in turn, establish the geological connection between the Horse Heaven Project on the western flank of the system and the Stibnite Gold Deposit situated on the opposite side.
Resolution plans to rapidly expand geochemical coverage over a materially under-explored area located between its Antimony Ridge and Golden Gate targets and the Stibnite Gold Project.
Next Steps in Exploration
Results from the sampling program will be used to prioritise anomalies for subsequent work, including mapping, soil grid surveys, geophysical studies, and drill testing. These follow-up phases are intended to generate high-priority drill targets for future exploration campaigns.
With the U.S. being 100% import-reliant on antimony, the company views the Horse Heaven Project as a potential strategic asset if brought into production.
