Highlights
- Maiden aircore program at Mt McKenna has identified multiple new gold targets.
- A coherent 1.5km mineralised structure has been defined, warranting deeper drilling.
- An arsenic anomaly coincident with gold mineralisation has been identified.
- Reverse Circulation drilling is planned to test targets at depth.
- Additional aircore targets to be generated at Targets 4 and 5 from February 2026, following exploration and cultural heritage clearance.
Platina Resources Limited (ASX:PGM) has uncovered multiple new gold targets at its Mt McKenna Project in Western Australia through a maiden aircore drilling program. The Phase 1 program was designed to detect gold mineralisation concealed below shallow transported cover, with results confirming multiple mineralised trends and highlighting a 1.5km mineralised structure warranting deeper drilling.
The Mt McKenna Project is located near Laverton in the Eastern Goldfields region of Western Australia.

Extensive Aircore Program Defines Mineralised Trends
The November 2025 aircore drilling program comprised 126 holes for a total of 6,056m, completed by two rigs across the northern section of the Target 2 area. Drilling focused on testing four interpreted splays off the regional Granite Well Fault.
Results from the program defined several mineralised trends, most notably a coherent 1.5-kilometre mineralised structure. The majority of aircore holes drilled along this trend ended in gold mineralisations.
Gold Intercepts Highlight Depth Potential
The 1.5km structure is supported by multiple anomalous intercepts, including:
- 1m at 0.64 g/t gold from 33m
- 4m at 0.24 g/t gold from 20m
- 3m at 0.27 g/t gold from 24m
- 4m at 0.12 g/t gold from 28m
- 3m at 0.13 g/t gold from 40m
Additional anomalous intersections included 11m at 0.36 g/t gold and 4m at 0.20 g/t gold.
Arsenic Anomaly Points to New Exploration Zone
A second continuous structure measuring approximately 250m in strike length was also identified. This zone returned elevated arsenic values of up to 1,750 parts per million across four drill holes and is coincident with anomalous gold values at the end of one hole (MMKAC080). The anomaly lies immediately south of an area known for gold nuggets and remains open to the south.
Next Phase Targets Deeper Drilling
Platina plans to advance the project through reverse circulation or slimline RC drilling to test the newly identified structures at depth. Furthermore, a detailed litho-geochemical assessment is underway to refine geological interpretations, supported by additional ground mapping and field verification.
In parallel, exploration and cultural heritage clearances across Targets 4 and 5 are scheduled to commence in February, along with a ground gravity survey across the southern portion of the project area. Cultural heritage surveys are expected to generate new aircore targets.Top of Form
