King River Resources Ltd (ASX:KRR) has released its latest quarterly exploration update, detailing progress across its Tennant Creek gold-copper projects in the Northern Territory for the quarter ended 31 December 2025. The update outlines RC drilling results from the Kuiper iron oxide copper-gold (IOCG) targets within the Tennant East Project, alongside ionic leach soil sampling outcomes from Langrenus, BIF Hill East and EL31623.
These exploration activities form part of the company’s broader strategy to advance targets generated from its 2023 geophysical survey, which highlighted multiple prospective IOCG and gold targets across the Rover East, Tennant East, Barkly and Kurundi project areas.
Kuiper Project Drilling Results
RC drilling at the Kuiper Project targeted coincident gravity and magnetic anomalies approximately 35 kilometres east-northeast of Tennant Creek. A total of six drill holes were completed for 2,050 metres, intersecting multiple fault structures, zones of iron alteration and several hydrothermal ironstones.
While assay results did not return significant gold or copper values, the identification of hydrothermal ironstones cover is considered important. The results confirm the presence of prospective broader regional-scale IOCG-style target corridor within EL31619.
Kuiper West and Kuiper East Targets
Five drill holes were completed at Kuiper West to test positions along a northwest-trending gravity-magnetic corridor.

At Kuiper East, a single drill hole intersected Proterozoic foliated mafic units beneath Cambrian cover. These units are interpreted to explain the coincident magnetic and gravity anomaly at the target.
Soil Sampling Results Support Targeting
Ionic leach soil sampling programs were completed at Langrenus, BIF Hill East and EL31623 to assist with drill targeting in combination with other information. The results identified subtle geochemical trends, that require further assessment.
At BIF Hill East, subtle but coherent multi-element signatures were identified over a coincident gravity and magnetic target. At Langrenus, two main geochemical trends were defined that included – the southwest trend and a northern trend which follows the main gravity trend. At EL31623, soil sampling outlined gold and base metal trends associated with the main magnetic anomaly in an underexplored area.
Ongoing Geological Review and Forward Plans
KRR continues to consolidate and review historical and recent exploration data across its Tennant Creek and Mt Remarkable tenements. A comprehensive re-logging program of historical RC and diamond drilling is underway, with around 40% completed to date. The programs are focused on validating geological observations to establish a high-quality geological dataset, which will be integrated into three-dimensional models to support the design of a targeted and technically robust drill program.
The company expects additional drill targets to be generated in 2026 as interpretation of geophysical data and analysis of 2024–25 drilling, rock chip and soil assay results continue.
KRR shares were trading at AUD 0.02 per share at the time of writing on 23 January 2026.
