King River Resources Ltd (ASX:KRR) has provided its quarterly update for the period ended 30 September 2025, reporting steady progress across its gold-copper projects in the Tennant Creek region of the Northern Territory. The company received reverse circulation (RC) drill assays from the Kurundi Project and soil sampling results from the Kuiper iron oxide copper gold (IOCG) targets within the Tennant East Project area.
These activities form part of KRR’s AUD 2 million drilling budget, aimed at testing high-priority gold and IOCG targets generated from its 2023 geophysics program. Exploration efforts continue to focus on key areas within Rover East, Barkly, Tennant East, and Kurundi.
Encouraging RC Drill Results at Kurundi Project
The company completed 942m of RC drilling across 13 holes at the Kurundi Project in April 2025. The program targeted extensions to two high-grade gold zones at Kurundi Main and a newly discovered mineralised structure.
Gold assay results were returned from this new structure, with a best intersection of 4m at 1.43 g/t gold, including 2m at 2.79 g/t gold from 9m in hole TTRC188. The discovery is considered promising, with mineralisation remaining untested along strike and at depth.
A large zone of historical alluvial gold workings surrounds the target area, suggesting potential for additional undiscovered mineralisation. Further drilling will be required to determine the orientation of this mineralisation, as the dip, surface expression, and width of the structure remain unknown.
Promising Geochemical Anomalies from Kuiper Soil Sampling
At the Kuiper IOCG target area, ionic leach soil sampling identified encouraging geochemical anomalies coinciding with magnetic and gravity targets mapped during the 2023 surveys. Trace element anomalies including Au, As, Ag, Cu, and Bi were detected across Kuiper East and West zones.
Geochemical mapping of elements commonly associated with ironstones and magnetite reveals distinct trends that align with the geophysically interpreted ironstone target zones at Kuiper East and Kuiper West.
Notably, the bismuth anomaly at Kuiper West aligns with the main gravity target. These findings support the interpretation of potential ironstone-associated mineralisation. RC drilling at both Kuiper West and Kuiper East commenced in July 2025 and was completed in September, with assay results pending.
Ongoing and Future Exploration Programs

Data source: Company update
The company expects to generate additional targets as it continues interpreting geophysical data and drill assays. Further ionic leach soil sampling will be conducted to prioritise targets for upcoming drill programs. Ionic leach soil sampling has been concluded at Kuiper 1 and 2.
