EV Resources (ASX:EVR) Uncovers Extensive Shallow Antimony System at Los Lirios

Highlights

  • Maiden drilling confirmed a shallow and laterally extensive antimony-bearing CRD system at Los Lirios in Mexico.
  • Four of the first five drill holes intersected antimony mineralisation and confirmed lateral continuity of the CRD horizon.
  • Key intercepts included 3.05m at 2.10% antimony from 8.1m and 2.0m at 1.71% antimony from 9.35m.
  • The shallow geometry of the system may support lower-cost drilling and potential open-pit mining opportunities.
  • EV Resources plans to launch a Phase 2 drilling program and target a maiden JORC Resource Estimate by Q3 2026.

EV Resources Limited (ASX:EVR) has reported encouraging maiden drilling results from its Los Lirios Antimony Project in Oaxaca, Mexico, with initial assays confirming a broad, shallow and laterally extensive antimony-bearing carbonate replacement (CRD) system at the Lirios 1 target. Results  from 5 of 15 drill holes have been received, with four holes confirming lateral continuity of the CRD horizon.

According to the company, the continuity of the mineralised horizon indicates the potential for a large, mineralised envelope that may support bulk-tonnage development, subject to further drilling and economic assessment.

High-Grade Intercepts Highlight Feeder Zones

One of the most notable results included an intercept of 3.05 metres grading 2.10% antimony from 8.1 metres in hole DDH-L1-08-26, indicating the grade potential of the system. Other significant intercepts included:

  • 2.0m at 1.71% antimony from 9.35m
  • 0.4m at 4.15% antimony from 6.2m
  • 1.65m at 0.99% antimony from 8.65m
  • 0.85m at 0.89% antimony from 58.45m

The mineralised CRD horizon has been encountered at shallow depths across multiple drill holes, indicating the potential for a large near-surface mineralised system that could support cost-efficient drilling and prospective open-pit mining opportunities, subject to further exploration and economic evaluation.

Drilling also confirmed the presence of a CRD unit that demonstrates silicification, brecciation and quartz-stibnite mineralisation, geological characteristics commonly associated with major antimony CRD systems.

EVR shares were trading at AUD 0.01 per share at the time of writing on 12 May 2026.
