Highlights
- Catalina Resources has begun soil sampling at the Flamingo target to advance Beasley Creek toward drilling.
- This is the first systematic geochemical survey, aimed at refining and expanding mineralisation zones.
- Past high-grade gold results highlight potential of the Flamingo target, but the system remains underexplored.
- The program will improve drill targeting and support identification of multiple drill-ready prospects.
Catalina Resources Limited (ASX:CTN) is advancing its Beasley Creek Project in Western Australia towards drill-ready status with the commencement of a soil sampling program at the high-priority Flamingo target. The initiative represents a key step in the first modern, systematic geochemical exploration efforts, aimed at refining geochemical data at Flamingo and supporting future drilling activities.
The Flamingo target is currently the central focus of exploration activities and is interpreted as an advanced and prospective target within the project.

Flamingo Target Takes Priority
The Flamingo prospect has emerged as a prospective exploration area within Beasley Creek, supported by recent geological studies, which identified the target as a coherent copper–gold volcanic-hydrothermal system, characterised by multi-element geochemical anomalies, supporting geophysical features and favourable structural conditions.
Previous exploration highlighted anomalous geochemistry and recorded high-grade gold intercepts such as 4 metres at 11.4 grams per tonne. However, the underlying bedrock system and its extensions along strike and at depth have not been extensively tested, leaving scope for further exploration.
First Systematic Geochemical Campaign
The current soil sampling program represents the first modern geochemical survey conducted across the project area. The campaign is designed to refine the Flamingo system and targets expansion of the known mineralisation along Mithgoondy Shear Zone.
Sampling activities will focus on infilling and expanding existing datasets, enabling clearer definition of anomalous zones. The program also aims to boost targeting confidence and optimise upcoming drill collar locations.
Through this campaign, the company is transitioning from a single-target focus to a systematic corridor scale exploration aimed at identifying multiple prospects within the larger mineralised system and create a pipeline of drill-ready targets. This campaign is expected to increase scale and significance of the project.
Pathway to Drilling
The soil sampling campaign forms part of a broader plan to advance Beasley Creek toward targeted drilling. The company plans to integrate geochemical data with geological mapping and geophysical interpretations to refine drill locations.
Upcoming steps include completing sampling, receiving assay results, conducting reconnaissance mapping and finalisation of drill targets and program design.
Catalina’s soil sampling program at the Flamingo target marks a structured step in advancing exploration at the Beasley Creek Project. By expanding geochemical coverage and improving target definition, the company is progressing toward a drilling phase while assessing the broader potential of the mineralised system.
