  • American Rare Earths Ltd confirms significant rare earth oxide presence at Bluegrass and County Line targets

  • Magnet and heavy rare earth oxides prominent in channel sampling across Halleck Creek Project

  • Permitting underway for future drilling, supporting independent development of Cowboy State Mine

American Rare Earths Ltd (ASX:ARR), (OTCQB:ARRNF), listed under the materials segment of the ASX 200 Index, has reported confirmed high-grade rare earth element concentrations across key targets at its Halleck Creek Project in Wyoming. This development adds momentum to the company’s rare earths exploration strategy and supports ongoing activities at the Cowboy State Mine.

Channel Sampling Confirms Strategic Resource at Bluegrass

Recent exploration efforts focused on channel sampling conducted by Wyoming Rare (USA) Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of American Rare Earths Ltd, in collaboration with Geosyntec. The collected samples indicate consistent and strong rare earth oxide levels, particularly across the Bluegrass target, where concentrations of total rare earth oxides (TREO) were recorded at substantial levels. The lithology at this site, underpinned by the Red Mountain Pluton, appears to facilitate relatively uniform mineralisation.

The CEO of the company emphasized that the results underscore the long-term importance of the Bluegrass zone as a strategic resource within the broader Halleck Creek system. While primary attention remains on the autonomous progression of the Cowboy State Mine, the newly confirmed grades from Bluegrass provide reinforcement for future operational planning.

County Line Target Shows Complex Geochemical Profile

The County Line area revealed a more varied geological profile, highlighted by the presence of medium quartz monzonite dikes. These dikes are contributing to enhanced rare earth oxide levels in specific zones, particularly in dike-hosted formations. The elevated presence of heavy rare earth oxides (HREO) in these dikes offers valuable insights into the mineralogical diversity of the region.

In comparison to the relatively uniform data from Bluegrass, County Line presented broader variability in both geochemical composition and host rock types. Despite this, the findings support a deeper understanding of rare earth dispersion across the Halleck Creek Project.

Magnet Rare Earth Oxides Enhance Strategic Importance

Of particular note in the assay data is the prominence of magnet rare earth oxides (MREO), which form a substantial portion of the total rare earth oxide measurements. These specific elements are critical to a range of industrial applications, especially in permanent magnet technologies. Their substantial presence across the sampled zones strengthens the project's relevance within the rare earths supply chain.

Additionally, heavy rare earth oxide concentrations were observed to be higher in specific dike-hosted samples from County Line, reinforcing the value of further geological and technical evaluation in that zone.

Future Exploration and Permitting Activities Underway

All sampling activities were carried out under strict quality control, with each sample GPS-located and analyzed using industry-standard procedures, including lithium borate fusion and ICP-MS. Certified reference materials and duplicates were incorporated into the workflow to ensure analytical accuracy.

Permitting processes are currently underway for future drilling at the Bluegrass site. These initiatives are being coordinated with state and federal regulatory bodies, with a focus on expanding exploration while maintaining a non-disruptive posture toward ongoing development activities at the adjacent Cowboy State Mine.

The confirmation of high-grade rare earths at both Bluegrass and County Line reinforces the Halleck Creek Project's significance within the rare earths sector, contributing to the broader footprint of resource companies on the ASX 200 Index.
