Global Uranium and Enrichment (ASX:GUE) schedules maiden drilling at Pine Ridge in Wyoming
Exploration program will cover extensive sandstone zones previously studied by Conoco and Stakeholder Energy
SOLA Project Services enlisted for technical support with permit approvals expected by late June
Global Uranium and Enrichment (ASX:GUE), listed on the Australian Securities Exchange and part of the energy and resources sector, is preparing to initiate drilling in July at its Pine Ridge Uranium Project. Located in the Powder River Basin of Wyoming, the project represents the company’s flagship exploration asset. The firm operates within uranium districts across North America and is gaining recognition as it aligns its trajectory with developments within the ASX 200.
The Pine Ridge site has been selected for an extensive exploration program, following comprehensive assessments of historical drilling data and geological formations. Earlier exploration was carried out by Conoco and Stakeholder Energy, whose data informed the development of a drill plan focused on stacked sandstone units and ancient river systems across the site.
Historical mapping and outcrop identification previously revealed hundreds of sandstone exposures concentrated in the south and west sections of the project area. These outcrops are seen as key indicators of uranium mineralisation and have formed the basis for a strategic focus in the initial drilling phase.
Managing Director Andrew Ferrier confirmed that detailed review of past drilling and current geological analysis led to the identification of multiple priority targets across the Pine Ridge acreage. The upcoming program will systematically test these areas using a significant drilling allocation, aimed at delineating broader mineralized zones across the project’s terrain.
Global Uranium and Enrichment has engaged SOLA Project Services to provide geological and technical oversight. SOLA’s principal, Bryan Soliz, brings over two decades of experience in the Powder River Basin, including work on various exploration and production ventures. His background is expected to strengthen the planning and execution of field activities at Pine Ridge.
The company has not yet finalized contracts with drilling and geophysical service providers. These appointments are pending permit approvals, which are anticipated toward the end of June. Once obtained, full-scale drilling will proceed, marking the first active fieldwork under Global Uranium and Enrichment’s control at this location.
Global Uranium and Enrichment (ASX:GUE) continues to expand its presence in North America’s uranium belt, leveraging past exploration insights and new geological strategies. The Pine Ridge project is a central part of this initiative, forming a core component of the company’s development efforts across its broader portfolio.
