Errawarra Resources (ASX:ERW) initiates drilling at Elizabeth Hill Silver Project in Western Australia
Elevated surface sampling results reported near historic silver mine site
Company advancing exploration with additional surveys and testing
Errawarra Resources Ltd (ASX:ERW), part of the mining sector on the ASX 200 index, is set to commence a drilling campaign at the Elizabeth Hill Silver Project in Western Australia. The announcement follows surface sampling that returned multiple high portable x-ray fluorescence (pXRF) readings for silver, reinforcing interest in the historically significant site.
Surface Sampling Delivers Promising Silver Readings
Surface exploration conducted in the Elizabeth Hill precinct has delivered promising pXRF results. These include several samples with notably elevated silver grades located both north and south of the historic mine. Specifically, sampling activity covered areas positioned beyond the established mine site footprint, pointing to previously untested zones of mineralisation.
Further laboratory testing of these samples is currently underway, with findings expected in the coming weeks. In the meantime, Errawarra has outlined plans for continued surface sampling efforts and metal detector surveys. These initiatives are aimed at further defining the geological characteristics of the area and identifying additional mineralised zones.
Strategic Expansion of Exploration Efforts
Executive Director Bruce Garlick has indicated that the presence of high-grade silver samples adjacent to the historic mine has influenced the company’s strategic focus. The company will now prioritise mapping the extensions of known mineralised structures, particularly in areas revealed by the recent sampling program.
The upcoming drill program is expected to focus on these new targets, with the aim of evaluating the extent and continuity of silver-bearing zones beyond the historically mined sections. The company has secured a controlling interest in the Elizabeth Hill Silver Project, which spans a significant land package that includes numerous tenements in the region.
Advancing Regional Presence Through Collaboration
In addition to the work at Elizabeth Hill, Errawarra Resources has expanded its exploration footprint through a collaboration with Alien Metals plc (LSE:UFO) at the Pinderi Hills Project. This joint initiative, located in the West Pilbara region, aligns with Errawarra’s broader strategy of targeting mineral-rich areas across Western Australia.
The Pinderi Hills Project lies within a developing lithium province, where both companies aim to leverage their expertise and landholdings to assess mineral occurrences and refine exploration targets. This collaboration forms part of Errawarra’s broader commitment to identifying critical mineral opportunities across its Western Australian portfolio.
Company Focus and Regional Prospects
Errawarra Resources operates as a dedicated mineral exploration company with an emphasis on silver, gold, and other essential minerals. Its projects span key locations across Western Australia, with ongoing work structured around detailed geochemical studies, modern surveying technologies, and strategic partnerships.
With new drilling initiatives and exploration efforts underway, the company continues to refine its understanding of regional geology while expanding its operational scope within some of the state’s most promising mineral zones.
