Locksley Resources Limited (ASX:LKY) operates within the ASX 200 resources sector, focusing on antimony and rare earth elements—materials essential to global technology and defense applications. The company’s activities align with growing interest in strategic minerals across the United States, where increased exploration supports domestic supply chain development.
Advancement of Mojave Antimony and Rare Earths Project
Locksley Resources (ASX:LKY) recently submitted a drill permit application to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), a significant administrative step in progressing the Mojave Project. The BLM has confirmed the Environmental Assessment process is underway. Located at the Desert Antimony Mine, the upcoming drill activities follow government-endorsed initiatives to expedite domestic mineral development.
Sample Results from Desert Antimony Mine
Sampling at the Desert Antimony Mine has returned high-grade findings. Numerous rock chip assays have recorded elevated levels of antimony, accompanied by polymetallic content including silver, lead, zinc, and copper. The mineralisation has been traced along a surface strike, highlighting a continuous zone of mineral presence within the project boundary.
Rare Earth Element Readings at El Campo Prospect
In addition to antimony, Locksley Resources (ASX:LKY) has reported rare earth concentrations at the El Campo Prospect. Surface mapping and rock chip assays have identified notable levels of total rare earth oxides and Neodymium-Praseodymium. These results span a defined mineralised horizon, reflecting the area’s resource profile.
Strategic Project Location and Proximity to U.S. Operations
The Mojave Project holds a geographically strategic position, situated near the Mountain Pass Mine—recognized as the only operational rare earth mine in the United States. The project’s proximity to this facility and to other federally-supported projects underscores the alignment between Locksley’s operational focus and national mineral development strategies.
