What’s There in ASIC and APRA’s Updated MoU?

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) and the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) have recently published an updated MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) to improve information sharing, deepen cooperation and strengthen engagement. The following are the additional details on updated MoU:

  • It follows the recommendations of the Royal Commission.
  • It is built on the collaborative and open relationship throughout all levels of the agencies.
  • It facilitates investigations, enforcement action, more timely supervision and deeper cooperation on internal capabilities and policy matters.
