Funds Under Management Increase by $87.8 billion in September Qtr 2019

As per a recent update by Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS), the managed funds industry recorded $3,874 billion of funds under management at 30 September 2019, an increase of 2.3 per cent on the June quarter 2019 figure.

During September Quarter 2019, ABS also reported increases in the following:

  • Funds managed by Australian investment managers on account of Australian entities except managed funds institutions – rise of 1.5 per cent or $9.8 billion
  • Consolidated assets of managed funds institutions – increase of 2.5 per cent or $74.2 billion
  • Funds managed by Australian investment managers on account of overseas investors – up by 3.3 per cent or $4.2 billion
