CIMIC Group Limited (ASX:CIM) announced that its global mining services provider, Thiess has been awarded a deal extension by Jellinbah Group to offer mining services at its Lake Vermont Coal Mine in Queensland.
The agreement extension is for 5 years and would generate revenue of A$2.5 billion for Thiess.
As per the agreement, Thiess would be involved in full-service mining operations like mine planning, coal mining, topsoil & overburden elimination, drill and blast, water management plus restoration of final landforms. Apart from this Thiess would also provide all mobile plant & equipment, being statutory operator for the project, and operating & maintaining the Coal Handling and Preparation Plant of the client.
