China Mengniu Dairy to acquire Bellamy's Australia Limited

Bellamy’s Australia Limited (ASX: BAL) has entered into a Scheme Implementation Deed (SID) with China Mengniu Dairy Company Limited. Under the SID, Mengniu would acquire all issued capital of Bellamy’s through a scheme of arrangement.

  • Total consideration for the transaction is $13.25 per share.
  • Consideration involves cash component of $12.65 per share, and special dividend of $0.60 per share.
  • Consideration represents 59% premium to closing price on 13 September 2019.

By 11:13 AM AEST, BAL was trading at A$12.82, up by 54.09% relative to the last closing price.
