- Natshield™ (sanitisers & wipes) has been approved by TGA as cosmetic, allowing claims of killing 99.99% of germs.
- Independent tests undertaken by leading laboratories have highlighted that NatshieldTM sanitiser is effective on skin and hard surfaces for up to 12 hours.
- The test results highlighted the clear advantage of NatshieldTM sanitiser, which only uses all-natural ingredients, over an alcohol-based sanitiser which lasts approximately 30 minutes.
Importance of health and wellbeing has never been more pronounced than today with the COVID-19 infection risks making it more imperative to take necessary safety measures. As a result, several standards from maintaining social distancing to ensuring infection control has emerged among people.
In the current scenario, Holista Colltech (ASX:HCT) is charging ahead with its innovative health and wellness solutions. The Company’s NatshieldTM sanitiser has been found to be effective on skin and hard surfaces for up to 12 hours.
Natshield™ has been approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) as cosmetic, allowing claims of killing 99.99% of germs.
The test results are significant, owing to the clear advantage of NatshieldTM all-natural sanitiser over an alcohol-based sanitiser which lasts approximately 30 minutes, thus requiring constant reapplication.
Furthermore, it is also a substantial advantage in formulating its nasal balm, which will only need to be applied every 12 hours. The Company plans to roll out the world’s first nasal protecting balm active for 12 hours in Q4 2021 in Malaysia, US, and South America.
The tests were performed by Chemical Laboratory (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd on skin, while SGS (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd tested the sanitiser on hard surfaces.
NatshieldTM sanitiser uses proprietary technology, Path-Away®, which is powerful enough to kill more than 170 viruses, bacteria, and fungi.
Path-Away® is developed from bioflavonoids and is without side effects. It commands wide applications as it is non-irritant. Moreover, it is odourless and does not stain.

The encouraging results highlighting the effectiveness of NatShieldTM were received in a Persistent Experiment undertaken by Chemical Laboratory and SGS. The experiment was aimed at testing how long NatshieldTM sanitiser would remain effective on skin and hard surfaces.
Under the persistent tests on skin (hands and wrists), the company reported no growth of Total Plate Count (TPC), Enterobacteriaceae, P. aeruginosa count, S aureus count, Coliform count, and E. coli count for up to 12 hours.
Notably, the tests were also conducted on surface disinfectants intended for use in the food, industrial, domestic, and institutional areas without a mechanical action to test the product’s efficacy against bacteria and/or fungi. SGS results highlighted the effectiveness of Natshield™ in controlling Enterococcus, E. Coli and Staphylococcus within five minutes and lasted 12 hours.
Holista Colltech continues to witness significant growth potential amidst the escalating concerns towards health and wellness. Meanwhile, the above average activity of NatshieldTM sanitiser against infection and approval from TGA uncaps several new opportunities for the Company.
HCT shares were trading at AU$0.054 in the early hours of 24 November 2021.
