Australian and Brazilian Shipment Ballooned Across Chinese Ports During the Golden Week Holidays

Iron ore reaching across the Chinese ports rebounded from pre-holiday levels as 13.8 million metric tonnes of iron ore arrived across the ports in China during 29 September 2019 to 5 October 2019, up by 2.54 million metric tonnes against the previous shipment reported for the week ended 21 September 2019.

  • Arrivals at ports in east China and along the Yangtze River edged up during the period.
  • Brazilian iron ore exports witnessed an increase of 1.2 million metric tonnes and stood at 7.96 million metric tonnes, while Australia shipment stood at 12.29 million metric tonnes, down by 890,000 metric tonnes.
