It is the entire amount paid on an outstanding loan, generally at the time of maturity. In real estate and banking terms, bullet repayment is also known as balloon loans that are used in business and mortgage loans. In banking, it is used to reduce the monthly payment during loan repayment. Balloon loans are not amortised during the duration of the loan.
