Bitcoin and Ether make the most headlines in the cryptocurrency space. Any rise or fall in the value of these two is widely considered as the overall trend in the space. However, there are many hidden crypto gems that could create wealth without creating headlines.

TRON (TRX)

With over US$7 billion in market cap, TRON commands at least some value in the crypto space dominated by Bitcoin.

TRON is headed by Justin Sun. Sun was one of the names in the Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 List. TRON boasts a transaction per second (TPS) capacity that outshines both Bitcoin and Ethereum. The platform supports the building of decentralized applications, popularly called DApps.

At the time of writing, TRON (TRX) was trading at approximately US$0.10. It was up 10 per cent over the past day.

The cryptocurrency has gained over 3.5 per cent over the last seven days. It is up 20 per cent as compared with a month back.

Gala (GALA)

Gala cryptocurrency has a market cap of over US$490 million. Gala is into the gaming space. Gala is using blockchain technology to give more control to gamers. Players can decide changes in the ecosystem by using NFTs.

The platform was launched in 2019. According to CoinMarketCap, it has nearly 1.3 million active users on a monthly basis. An NFT worth US$3 million was sold on Gala Games.

Eric Schiermeyer was the founder of Gala, and the platform provides Poker and many other blockchain-powered games.

At the time of writing this, Gala (GALA) was trading at approximately US$0.07. It was up nearly 230 per cent over the past day.

The cryptocurrency has gained nearly 190 per cent over the last seven days. It is up nearly 260 per cent as compared with a month back.

Moonriver (MOVR)

Moonriver has a market cap of over US$500 million. It is a smart contract platform. Developers can move their existing DApps and Solidity smart contracts on the Moonriver platform.

MOVR is the token used in Moonriver’s decentralized network. It can be used to pay network fees, besides being used as an incentive for developers to build onto the existing Moonriver infrastructure.

At the time of writing, MOVR was trading at approximately US$380. It was down nearly nine per cent over the past day.

The cryptocurrency has gained nearly 150 per cent over the last seven days.

These three trending crypto tokens are not as big as Bitcoin. However, crypto enthusiasts looking to make profits in the volatile crypto market have their eyes on every trending asset. The recent rise in the value of these cryptos makes them an interesting watch.

Bottom line

El Salvador’s recent adoption of Bitcoin was followed by an unexpected crash in its price. The price of other cryptos like Ether also went south. At such a time, hidden crypto gems can be a good space to look for gains.
