Founded in 2011, Vivo energy is a UK-based petroleum company and with its headquarters in London. It is a constituent of FTSE 250 index and also listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. The company and its subsidiaries operate in 23 countries across Africa with a network of over 2,000 service stations, and is involved in supply, storage, distribution, and retail of various petroleum products across its area of operation. The subsidiaries, include  Vivo Energy, Vivo Energy Maroc, SA, Vivo Energy Mali, Vivo Energy Holding B.V., Vivo Energy Investments B.V.  

Shell-branded fuels and lubricants are distributed and marketed to retail and commercial buyers by the company across Africa. The company’s retail segment offers a wide range of products, such as fuels and lubricants, card services, shops and quick service restaurants, convenience retail, LPG, and other auxiliary services. It also offers non-fuel services like oil change and car wash. A wide range of shell fuels, which also includes LPG and other lubricant products, are also offered to commercial customers. Card services cover Shell cards, private motorist payments and prepaid cards.

The goal of the company is to become one of the top-most energy businesses in Africa, with an additional focus on health, safety, security and environment. It follows a well-defined code of conducts and corporate standards. It aligns with an Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy,  Anti-Money Laundering Policy,  Whistle Blowing Policy and Modern Slavery Act. It also has a well-defined Social Performance Governance Framework and environmental policies.

The company aims to provide maximum output with minimum environmental footprint. It tries to avoid accidental discharges of polluting materials, prioritises reduction in energy consumption and improvement in efficiency of operations, monitors environmental factors while taking business decisions, and promotes products and technologies that support in sustainable development.
