Seeing Machines Ltd (LON:SEE)
TechnologyBased in Canberra, Australia Seeing Machines is a leading artificial intelligence (AI) technology platform that interacts with human and enable machines to understand and assist users in the transport sector. The company’s main focus is to build machines that can understand the human better, prevent mishaps, and save the lives of travellers. The company specialises in computer vision algorithms, optics, and processing technology to develop intelligent machines that can monitor the human operators, drivers and pilots and enhance the safety. The group partners with customers and universities to generate data that can help in understanding the operator’s performance and behavior. The collected data and knowledge is then used to develop advanced technology. The group serves major growing market in Europe, North America, Latin America, Middle East and Asia Pacific and is accredited to ISO9001:2015 and aligned to ASPICE standard.
The group has already partnered with the global leaders of transportation sector to deliver the safety solutions for drivers that include automation, fleet, rail, aviation, and off-road industries. Its key partners are Autoliv, General Motors, Coach USA, Toll Group, Transport of London, Emirates, and others.
The Seeing Machine’s technology measures driver’s visual attention to their surroundings, measures their degree of fatigue and detects if they have passed a threshold of risk. Further, it also alerts the driver and vehicle’s control system in case of any risk. The FOVIO Driver Monitoring (FDM) technology offered by the group does not require cooperation or knowledge of the driver and can solve real-life problems and saves lives. It is built on Driver Monitoring System (DMS), which is automatic, accurate, reliable, effective and intelligently aware. The face and eye tracking algorithms in FDM technology analyse the human behavior that might indicate distraction and feed a Driver Distraction Event algorithm. Its technology also provides Driver Drowsiness Level (DDL) signal to indicate the drowsy level of the drivers and detect unconsciousness, eventually prevent accidents on roads.
