The objective of the company is to provide long-term capital appreciation and growth to its shareholders in excess of the FTSE All‑Share index. The company invests directly or indirectly mostly in unquoted or unlisted software and business service companies across Europe those have issued equity shares and are no longer part or delisted of any stock exchange. There can be many reasons for this. Either they are too small to qualify for a stock market listing or have too few shareholders for a listing. The company also provide portfolio management support.
At present, HGT has invested in 36 companies of different sizes, sectors and geographies, which assures investors safety from risk, high liquidity and diversification. HGT has shown strong growth in sales and EBITDA in FY2020.
HGT has a strong team of 230 employees, which has more than 140 investment and portfolio management professionals, supported by a network of portfolio partners. Currently, the company has three investment offices which are in London, Munich, and New York with fund under management of around $30 billion and serving 150+ institutional investors, including private and public pension funds, insurance companies, endowments, and foundations. The company is also investing actively in renewable energy companies in the United Kingdom, Sweden, Spain and Ireland. In the last 25 years, the company has led over 100 investments in the software and services sector, which exhibits its deep understanding of the markets and businesses and institutional expertise.
