The company operates through two business segments that include Industrial and Marketing. The Industrial segment is engaged in the production of copper, zinc/lead, iron ore, ferroalloys, nickel, alumina/aluminium, and silver from over 65 assets and it has interests in industrial assets such as smelting, mining, refining, and warehousing operations. The company is a major producer and marketer of coal, with mines in Africa, Australia, and South America and it is also a leading marketer of natural gas, crude oil, and refined products. The Marketing segment is engaged in the promotion and sale of produced goods worldwide. It physically sources commodities and products from our global supplier base and sells them to customers all over the world by sea, truck, and rail.
