The British government has been asking the automakers to phase out the production of petrol and diesel vehicles by 2030. But a major turn-off for motor enthusiasts while transitioning to electric vehicles from conventional vehicles is the lack of charging infrastructure. Considering that the government is planning to boost the charging infrastructure and make car charging as easy as refueling a car with petrol, diesel, or gas.

The government faces a major challenge in this approach. The government does not have any data regarding residential parking availability in the UK. Therefore, the government is looking for properties that can facilitate private EV charging. The government aims to develop such an infrastructure that even supermarkets, leisure centers, shopping centers, and sports grounds can facilitate EV charging.
