Incorporated on 26 September 1861, The City of London Investment Trust (NZX:TCL) is one of the UK’s oldest investment trusts. It invests in companies with the prime intention of augmenting the long-term capital and income of its shareholders.

The Trust primarily invests in multinational companies listed on the London Stock Exchange, thereby helping its investors enhance the growth of their portfolio by investing in global securities. The total assets of TCL were recorded at £1.74 billion as on 31 March 2021.

It boasts of a conservative management style of working with considerable importance given to the declaration of dividends.

The Trust is being managed by Job Curtis since 1991 with FTSE All Share Index as its investment benchmark.

It is noted that TCL’s NAV and share price, both have outdone the Benchmark for about 10 years.
