PERSHING SQUARE HOLDINGS

Description

Founded in 2012, Pershing Square Holdings is registered open-ended investment scheme headquartered in Guernsey. Later in 2014, the company started as an investment holding company that offered closed-ended funds, which focused on its investments in North American publicly traded companies.  Its main motive is to grow the intrinsic value per share by maximising long-term compounded rate of return. The shares of PSH are publicly traded on Euronext Amsterdam N.V since 2014. In 2017, it started trading on the premium segment of main market of London Stock Exchange and is part of the FTSE 100 since December 2020.

Founded in 2004, Pershing Square Capital Management, L.P. works as the investment manager of Pershing Square Holding and is responsible for the investment as per its investment policy in assets and liabilities. The investment manager actively manages the portfolios and strategically invests to create long- term values for shareholders and constantly looks out for the opportunities to invest in for long-term value creation and growth. 

PSCM and the PSH board both decided to form Pershing Square Tontine Holdings Ltd. (PSTH). The PSTH was formed as a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) that raised money from initial public offering to acquire an already existing business, where PSH became a minority shareholder. PSTH started trading publicly in July 2020 on New York Stock Exchange.
