The company operates across more than 40 countries in the UK, US, Australia, Saudi Arabia and other. The company’s largest operations are in the UK and US, where it operates through BAE Systems Inc, which is one of the six largest suppliers to the US Department of Defense and delivers a full range of products and services for land, naval and air forces, as well as security, advanced electronics and information technology solutions and customer support services. The company is listed on the London Stock Exchange as LON: BA. and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index.

The company operates through five core business segment that include Electronic Systems, Cyber & Intelligence, Platforms & Services, Air and Maritime. The Electronic System segment consist of the UK and US based electronic activities such as navigation systems, electronic warfare systems, next-generation military communications systems and data links, electro-optical sensors, precision guidance and seeker solutions, military and commercial digital engine and flight controls and space electronics and electric drive propulsion systems.

The cyber & Intelligence segment consist of the US based intelligence & Security business and UK based Applied Intelligence business that covers the cyber security, commercial financial security, and secure government activities.  The Platforms & Services segment is engaged in manufacturing and upgrading of combat vehicles, delivers services and sustainment and weapons and munitions activities, including naval ship repair and the management and operation of government-owned munitions facilities. It mainly operates in UK, US, and Sweden.

The Air segment is engaged in air activities in UK for European and International Market and US programmes and its businesses in Australia and Saudi Arabia, with 37.5% interest in European MBDA joint venture. The Maritime segment is engaged in maritime and land activities in UK.
