Tinka Resources Limited is a junior mineral mining company operating in the basic materials industrial sector. The prime operations of Tinka Resources include discovery, evaluation, acquisition, exploration and development of precious metal and base metal properties.

Tinka Resources Limited is a publicly listed company on the TSX Venture Exchange, with its common shares trading under the ticker symbol TK. Additionally, the metal exploration corporation lists and trades its common shares on the OTCQB (U.S. market) and Lima Stock Exchange (BVL) under the stock symbol TKRFF and TK, respectively.

The Vancouver-based natural resource miner owns a 100 per cent stake in the Ayawilca Property situated approximately 200 kilometers northeast of Lima, along the Pasco region in central Peru. The Ayawilca is a zinc-silver project that hosts silver (Ag)- zinc (Zn)- lead (Pb)- copper (Cu) mineralization in the form of a carbonate replacement deposit.

The project is equipped with proper infrastructure, including water availability and power lines. The Peru-focused exploration company holds contiguous mineral claims covering a total land area of 170 square kilometers under the Ayawilca project.

The company discovered three mineral zones on the property which includes:

• The Ayawilca Zinc Zone contains zinc mineralization in massive sulfide formations. The company identified the zinc zone in 2013 and conducted some 88,000 meters of drilling onsite till 2021.

• The Colqui Silver Zone, formerly known as Colquipucro lies approximately 1.5 kilometers north of the zinc zone. The north-northwest trending Colquipucro Fault links both the Colqui Silver Zone and the Ayawilca Zinc Zone. In 2006, Tinka Resources applied for various mining claims, and since then, the company has drilled nearly 8,000 meters in 45 holes onsite.

• The Ayawilca Tin Zone includes sulfide lenses that contain pyrrhotite, chlorite, cassiterite, pyrite, and chalcopyrite mineralization.

In a press release dated July 12, 2021, Tinka Resources Limited mentioned that Darwin Peru S.A.C, a 100 per cent owned subsidiary of the company, entered into a definitive agreement with BHP World Exploration Inc. regarding the Silvia Copper Project. According to the agreement, the subsidiary company acquired a 100 per cent stake in the Silvia Project comprising mineral claims covering 29,500 hectares. This acquisition has increased the total landholding of Tinka resources to more than 46,000 hectares in central Peru.
