Otso Gold Corp. is a mineral mining company primarily involved in the exploration of precious metal projects, specifically gold assets. Otso Gold Corp. is a public Toronto Venture Stock Exchange company with its stocks trading under the ticker OTSO. The mineral natural resource mining company also trades its stocks on the Over-the-Counter (OTC) market in the US under the symbol FIEIF.
The Toronto-based precious metal miner owns a 100 per cent stake in the Osto Gold Project -- its flagship project situated at a distance of approximately 15 kilometers south of Raahe and 80 kilometers away from Oulu city in Finland along the Svecofennian orogenic belt.
The Otso Gold project consists of mineral claims spread over a total land area of approximately 1,551.93 hectares, with another exploration lease spanning an area of 4,031 hectares. The project is featured with proper infrastructure, including road connectivity, a port facility, an international airport, and a processing plant.
Outotec and Metso Minerals have designed and constructed the Otso Gold Property. The property is fully licensed and permitted, including environmental permits to commence mining, exploration, extraction, and processing operations. Otso Gold Corp. has planned to upgrade the processing facility to process 6,600 tons per day (tpd) of ore at a minimum grade of 1.55 g/t. With this upgrade, the company estimates that the historical recovery rate in test work results would jump from 87.5 percent to 90 percent.
Consequently, the improved gold recovery would increase the annual production capabilities up to 95,000 ounces per annum of gold dores. Otso Gold Corp. is focused on exploration and drilling operations onsite to discover and evaluate new target areas to expand the mineral resource potential and extend the production capabilities for the development and advancement of its project and maximize the shareholders’ returns.
