Corvus Gold Inc is a development and exploration firm focused on precious metal mining. The Canadian company was founded on April 13, 2010, and is incorporated under the British Columbia’s laws.
In August 2010, International Tower Hill Mines Inc transferred 100 percent ownership interest of Talon Gold Nevada Inc’s North Bullfrog Project and Mother Lode Mining Company’s project to Corvus Gold.
The mineral exploration company is publicly traded entity with stocks listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange under the quote of ‘KOR’. In addition, it also listed on Nasdaq Capital Markets (NASDAQ) under the same ticker.
The Vancouver-based company is engaged in the acquisition, exploration, extraction, production and development of mineral properties. It owns and operates two US-based exploration projects, namely North Bullfrog Project and the Mother Lode Project.
Both properties are located in southwestern Nevada’s Bullfrog Mining District.
The North Bullfrog Mine, located 10-kilometer north of Beatty region, is a low sulfide property hosting epithermal gold deposits. It is located close to Bullfrog Mine, which was formerly operated by Barrick Gold.
The precious-metal focused company has 100 percent ownership rights in the property. The project covers a total area of approximately 90.5 square kilometers, which consists of several leased, patented and unpatented mining claims. In addition, the property hosts a combination of private mining leases of patented federal mineral claims and 1,134 federal unpatented mineral claims, the company claims.
Another asset, Mother Lode Mine, is an open gold pit mine situated 165 kilometers northwest of Las Vegas and 10 kilometers east of Beatty in Nevada. The wholly owned project is at a distance of 20 kilometers from the company’s Nevada-based project located in the Walker Lane gold belt.
The project is reportedly spread in an area of 36.5 square kilometers and consists of approximately 445 federal unpatented mining claims.
On May 6, 2021, Corvus Gold entered into a loan agreement of USD $20 million with AngloGold Ashanti North America Inc to finance the current permits and pre-development work at the project sites, including North Bullfrog Project, Mother Lode Project and Lynnda Strip projects.
The mineral exploration company has reported additional drill holes results from the Mother Lode Project and the Lynnda Strip Project that support the significant potential in the eastern Bullfrog District and the Mother Lode to Silicon belt.
As a result, Corvus Gold is presently focused on expanding existing mining assets and new target opportunities in the Silicon Belt.
