Great Panther Mining Limited is a precious metals mining, development, and exploration company.

The metals and mining company owns and operates a diversified portfolio of mineral assets, development and exploration projects.

The company wholly owns the Tucano Mine, located 200 kilometers from Macapá, the capital of Amapá State, in northern Brazil. The project consists of a primary crusher, SAG mill, seven CIL tanks, ball mill, a thickener, a gas oxygen plant and a new liquid oxygen plant.

The mining company claims that due to latest modifications in the facility, it was able to process approximately 90 percent of sulfide ore with more than 90 percent of gold recoveries.

It also owns the Guanajuato Mine Complex (GMC) is in Mexico. The underground silver-gold project, situated in Guanajuato district, hosts San Ignacio mine, Guanajuato mine, and El Horcon project.

The main mine, Cata processing plant, and office facilities are located in the outer area of the district.


Topia Mine is a silver-gold-lead-zinc mine located nearly 235 kilometers northwest of Durango State in Mexico. The project consists of numerous narrow veins and involves underground operations. The company says that the central processing facility consists of two-stage crusher, a grinding circuit, three ball mines, and two conventional floatation circuits.

The Peru-based Coricancha Mine is a polymetallic ore deposit located in Huarochirí, Lima. Great Panther acquired this development project in 2017 with a crusher and a mill, which is reportedly at an elevation of 3,140 meters above sea level. However, the concentrator, floatation circuit and BIOX facility lie along the main highway, the mineral exploration company claims.

The diversified mining company’s exploration exploration projects include:

• El Horcón: a 100 percent owned gold-silver-zinc-lead project in northwest Mexico.

• Santa Rosa: A silver-gold project in northeast Guanajuato.

• Argosy: It is a past-producing gold mine in northwest Ontario, where the mining company has full ownership rights.

• Plomo: The company wholly owns this gold project situated in northwest Sonora, Mexico.


Great Panther also claims to undertake various environmental conservation programs to minimize its operations footprints, such as emission control protocols, pollution control, soil erosion prevention, etc. In addition, the Canadian company reportedly follows the tailings dam management approach in its operations.

The Vancouver-based company is listed on NYSE American and TSX under the quote of ‘GPL’ and ‘GPR’, respectively.
